Neighborhood Concert: Argus Quartet

Sunday, October 16, 2016 4 PM Brooklyn Public Library, Central Library
The Argus Quartet’s technical mastery is equaled only by its passionate commitment to arts education. Known for honoring historic chamber-music traditions, the quartet also works closely with living composers. In this program, the quartet performs one of Haydn’s magnificently crafted late string quartets; Christopher Theofanidis’s Visions and Miracles—a work pulsing with energy and bathed in lyricism; and daring works by Kerrith Livengood and Garth Knox.
